About NYBZPS

The New York Botanical Zoological Photographic Society was founded in 1953 by a group of people interested in sharing their interest in photography. Since that time the same spirit of conviviality and mutual interest has continued to shape the present club.

Today's membership includes a group whose experience ranges from the beginner to the professional with an equally diverse range of photographic interests. Members work in color slides, black & white and color prints and create images of wildlife, scenic, nature, abstracts and other pictorial subjects.

The club offers opportunities to gain knowledge; share ideas and show your work. Each month we offer programs on various photographic subjects of interest to the membership. These alternate with our club competitions. Here members get feedback on their work from a judge from outside of the club. Additional activities include exhibits and field trips.

We invite you to join us and share your interest in photography in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

The Club meets twice a month on Saturday mornings at the Fordham Preparatory School on the Fordham University Campus, Bronx, New York. Click here for more information on our schedule for the 2009-2010 season.
